This page is dedicated to the daylily and my love of it. Hopefully you will find the page enjoyable. I've tried to make it interesting by including some pictures of daylily flowers which I have taken, and also some links to super daylily sites. Please e-mail me with any comments which you have.
A little about myself. My name is Jim Costner and I live outside the town of Belmont, NC, which is in zone 7. I've been growing daylilies for approximately 9 years, and grow over 350 different cultivars. This is only a drop in the bucket when you consider that there are over 40,000 registered cultivars. Of course, a great many of these are not still in commerce. I am a member of the AHS (American Hemerocallis Society), which is the national organization for people who are "into"daylilies. I strongly urge anyone who is interested in daylilies to join. Dues are very reasonable ($18/year) which includes 4 issues of the Daylily Journal and also, the newsletter from the region in which you live. The journal itself is more than worth the yearly dues, since it is packed with useful information and some great daylily photos. I've included a link, on my links page, to the AHS homepage for anyone interested.
